Simonetta Connector
A writhing snake with intricately carved stars biting a circle of infinity. Its tail creates a close loop on the opposite end for connector attachments
This connector was inspired by the Portrait of Simonetta Vespucci by Piero di Cosimo, of the Italian Renaissance. The iconography of the portrait is derived from late Classical antiquity, in which the snake symbolized wisdom, rebirth, and fertility. It is rumored that Sandro Botticelli was inspired by Simonetta’s features for The Birth of Venus and that was a passionate admirer.
