Georgia Pearl Drop Charm
Between 1917 and 1937, photographer Alfred Stieglitz took over three hundred photographs of Georgia O'Keeffe. Among those included many images of O'Keeffe's hands as part of an extraordinary composite portrait. To Stieglitz, portraiture was a record of a person's entire experience - a mosaic of expressions, emotions and gestures that function collectively to evoke an individual existence.
The Georgia Pearl Drop Charm is inspired by this concept of a constellation of movements that make up a life. This closed fist is a reminder of strength, resilience, and solidarity. Hand-carved and featuring a drilled hole through the hand, it is the perfect way to add charms or chain to a piece.
